Client Spotlight: Coco from Raincross at Riverside
I am excited to introduce you to another Community Life Director who I have gotten to know these last few months: Coco at Raincross at Riverside. She works tirelessly to provide the best quality of life possible to her residents. Providing music therapy for memory care residents is just one example.
Coco has been at Raincross for a year. She began working at this facility as a caregiver and eventually filled the position of Community Life Director.
She shares why she does what she does:
“I love to be that person who puts a smile on residents’ faces. I loved being a caregiver, but I hated seeing the sadness and pain that the residents go through on a daily basis, so I was inspired to apply for the Community Life Director position. I have always loved taking care of others - even as a child. My motivation to be where I am today stems from that love. I love everything about my job: the good and the bad. The best part about my job is the continued learning experiences that I gain from the residents on a daily basis.”
Just as the residents have taught Coco about life and love, she has done the same for me. I am inspired whenever I walk into Raincross and see Coco actively working with/talking with/facilitating an activity with her residents. She truly has a compassionate heart, and I am privileged to know and to work with her.
Thank you, Coco, for making a difference in the lives at Raincross at Riverside and for partnering with Transformational Health Music Therapy Services by providing compassionate, holistic care!
